Dutch Street Art Awards 2017

On the 2th of June, Amsterdam Street Art and Boomerang Create organize for the second time the Dutch Street Art Awards.
With this unique award show all the well deserved credits go straight to the artists.

For us the Dutch Street Art awards is something fun we needed to do. Because of the simple fact that if we didn’t, some big brand would. Still not a big problem but in this case we, as Amsterdam Street Art are responsible for the production of the show. With this we can follow the vision of our foundation, to give the artists a platform including all the credits that they deserve.

“For a lot of street artists this event still feels a bit strange, an award show for an underground subculture…? Yes this is something I totally understand. But since this is the second time we organize the Dutch Street Art Awards, I know the relevance of the concept and I see it as great value and exposure for the whole Street Art scene”

For the jury, we invited a heavy weight group of people who are involved with Street Art. With this group we guarantee a wide range of expertise and honest nominations.

We’re lucky with our partner Boomerang Create, who trust our concept and without whom we wouldn’t have many possibilities. To mention one highlight of this award edition is the location.
De Posthoornkerk is a great and spectaculair venue for this show. This old church in the center of Amsterdam with impressive stained glass walls will provide us the best atmosphere for this award show hosted by: Birgit Schuurman.

I would love to tell you guys more about the coming program, the food, the drinks, the dj and way more but I think this is something you u need to explore yourself. Last year the Dutch Street Art Awards were sold out pretty soon and I’m sure this will be the same with this edition. Tickets are on sale for only €10 and I can guarantee you that only the goody bag itself (without contents) has more value then the entrance ticket.
